Contributed to the defeat of Proposition 93 (term limit of legislators) in February of 2008
We led a coalition of taxpayers' groups and citizens' organizations in the Bay Area to oppose to Proposition 93 which, if passed, would have increased the term limit for most current legislators in California and extended the total term of some to 20 years. We believe that from the point of view of ordinary citizens, too long a term limit is not good at all.
We also believe that California legislators should stop pushing Californians to approve bond measures which considerably led to the state deficit crisis. We have correctly predicted and warned against this before.
Please see the attached press release of February 2008.
